Why won’t the ON AIR Video Light turn on?

If your phone LED light won’t turn on, it’s important to check that the included USB cable is properly and securely inserted into both the light’s charging port and your chosen USB power source. Only use a 3.7V USB power source to recharge the phone LED light’s lithium-ion battery.

Make sure to remove any dirt, dust, or other debris that may be obstructing either the light’s charging port or the USB power source. These substances can prevent the charging cable from being fully connected, and result in the light not charging as intended.

Only use the included charging cable with this light, and do not attempt to charge your ON AIR Video Light if the cable is wet, dirty, torn, or damaged in any other way.

In addition, you should only use and store your phone light in a cool, dry environment, on a flat and hard surface. Do not attempt to recharge it in areas with extremely hot or cold temperatures, high humidity, heat sources, open flames, water, or any other liquid. These conditions can adversely affect the charging process, and may result in irreversible damage to the product.

If the above suggestions do not cause the ON AIR Video Light to turn on, then there may be an issue with its internal circuitry. Do not attempt to disassemble, modify, or repair this product in any way on your own. Instead, please call or email us at support@tzumi.com or 1-855-GO-TZUMI right away, and an experienced customer service representative will be glad to help you.

What should I do if the phone light won’t connect to the phone mount?

Make sure that nothing is obstructing either the bottom of the light or the cold shoe mount on the phone mount. Gently wipe them both with a soft, dry cloth to remove any substances that may be preventing them from connecting properly.

Use the tightening wheel on the cold shoe mount to ensure that the phone light is fully and securely attached to the phone mount. If possible, try turning the wheel until it can no longer be turned, to ensure maximum tightness.

Check that the tightening wheel isn’t wet, dirty, jammed by particles of any kind, or visibly damaged in any way. Never attempt to repair the tightening wheel on your own.
