Troubleshooting Tips for your AuraLED ColorDuo

August 24, 2023 | By Jordan Fargo | 3 mins to read

Why won’t the light bulbs turn on?

Check that you have properly and securely installed the light bulbs into your chosen E27 light socket. Only use clean, dry light sockets, in cool, dry environments, that are compatible with the AuraLED ColorDuo light bulbs. Move the A24 bulbs to a different light socket if necessary; the socket must have a power input of AC100-220V. Be sure to follow the steps listed in the included User Guide very thoroughly.

You should also ensure that the light bulbs themselves are not wet, dirty, damaged, or visibly malfunctioning in any way. Wipe them gently with a soft, dry cloth if any part of the bulbs is covered in dirt, dust, or other debris. The bulbs will not turn on if they cannot be completely screwed into the light socket.

If there is nothing visibly wrong with your smart LED light bulbs, and yet they still won’t turn on, then a more serious issue may be present. Do not attempt to disassemble, modify, or repair this product by yourself. Instead, please call or email us at support@tzumi.com or 1-855-GO-TZUMI. An experienced customer support representative will be happy to assist you.

Why isn’t the wireless remote working?

It’s important to check that the included wireless remote only has CR2025-CR2032 battery types inside of it. The remote will not work with any other battery types. If the remote’s operation becomes slow, then it may be time to replace the old battery with a new one. Fully insert the new battery into the remote’s battery compartment, and make sure the compartment is fully clean and dry.

Make sure you are not using the remote in an extremely cold or hot environment, as well as locations with high humidity. Do not stand too close nor too far from the bulbs, as the remote may not work. Stand anywhere from 2-5 ft. away from the bulbs, and ensure that nothing is covering either the bulbs or the remote.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to our Customer Service team for any further questions.

What should I do if the bulbs aren't as bright as they're supposed to be?

If the bulbs aren’t as bright as they should be, check that they are properly set up. Their brightness may be less than expected if they aren’t firmly inserted into your chosen light socket, or if the socket doesn’t have enough power for the bulbs. Make sure the bulbs aren’t cracked or damaged in any way.

In addition, you should use the remote to see if the bulbs aren’t already at their highest brightness setting. If they aren’t, increase the brightness to a more suitable level. With a luminous flux of 400-500, and a color temperature of 2700-3300K, the bulbs should be sufficiently bright for just about any indoor space. If your chosen area is extremely hot, cold, or humid, then the bulbs may not operate at their maximum efficiency.
