Troubleshooting Tips for your PowerMount Plus

The PowerMount Plus should be able to hold any smartphone between 2.5 and 3.5 inches wide, whether or not it has a case. It should easily adjust to securely hold your phone.
If your PowerMount Plus won’t hold your phone, check that its adjustable bracket isn’t wet, dirty, or damaged in any way. Make sure that it is installed properly on the phone holder. In addition, your phone should be dry, clean, and not have any additional accessories attached to it (besides a protective case). Make sure your phone isn’t visibly damaged or malfunctioning, as this may prevent it from staying firmly in place within the PowerMount Plus.
Do not expose the phone holder to extremely high or extremely low temperatures, as they can damage the product over time. Never expose it to fire, direct sunlight, or other heat sources. Using the phone holder in these conditions may result in a shorter lifespan or a reduction in its phone holding capabilities.
If none of the above troubleshooting tips work, and you find that your magnetic phone holder still won’t hold your phone, then a more serious issue may be present. Never attempt to disassemble, modify, or repair the PowerMount Plus by yourself. Instead, call or email us at support@tzumi.com or 1-855-GO-TZUMI. An experienced customer support representative will be happy to assist you.
Check that the PowerMount Plus is set up properly, and that its strong adhesive backing isn’t damaged or covered in any dirt, dust, or other debris. The adhesive backing won’t work properly if it’s not completely clean of any substances. You should also remember to remove the sticker covering the adhesive backing before attempting to place the phone holder on your desired surface. When placing the phone holder, firmly press down on it for at least 15 seconds.
It’s recommended that you gently clean the surface on which you plan to affix the PowerMount Plus to. It may slip if the surface isn’t clean. Only use the magnetic phone holder on a hard, flat, and sturdy surface, such as a car window or dashboard. Never attempt to place it on a surface that’s soft or uneven; it will not stay firmly in one place.

The adhesive backing must be securely inserted for the magnetic phone holder to rotate. It should be able to rotate a full 360° with ease.
Do not keep the phone holder in extremely hot environments, as well as wet conditions. These types of environments can ruin the glue that holds the connecting piece of the phone holder. Keep the holder in a cool, dry environment to preserve the glue keeping it together. Do not try to use tape or some other material to try and reconnect the PowerMount Plus. Never apply excessive force to any component of the phone holder, as this may cause the glue to come undone. We recommend storing the product in a relatively cool environment for a few hours before using it for the first time, to ensure that the glue is more effective.
Make sure nothing is obstructing the back of the adjustable bracket, especially where the adhesive backing is supposed to connect with it. Clean all components of the PowerMount Plus with a soft, dry cloth to ensure a proper connection.
