Troubleshooting Tips for your PWRSync USB–C to USB–A Cable

August 7, 2023 | By Jordan Fargo | 3 mins to read

Why is the cable not charging my device?

Check that the cable isn’t wet, dirty, frayed, or damaged in any other way. Clean it gently with a soft, dry cloth to remove any dirt, dust, or other debris. Make sure the cable’s braided nylon isn’t torn, and that neither end of the cable is damaged or visibly malfunctioning in some way.

Only use the cable with devices that are compatible with USB-A charging. Devices without a USB-A port will not be able to be charged by the PWRSync cable. Make sure your chosen phone, tablet, or other device is not damaged or visibly malfunctioning, and that its USB-A port is not blocked or deformed in some way so that the cable will fit.

If all of the above troubleshooting suggestions fail, then your cable may have an issue with its internal wiring. Do not attempt to disassemble, modify, or repair the cable by yourself. Instead, please call or email us at support@tzumi.com or 1-855-GO-TZUMI. An experienced customer support representative will be happy to assist you.

Where shouldn’t I use or store the cable?

Never use or store the cable in environments with extremely hot or cold temperatures, as these may wear down the cable and severely damage its nylon over time. Do not use or store it near fires or other heat sources, since they can destroy the cable, and possibly cause a fire or explosion if a device is being charged. Do not put the cable anywhere near children or pets; the cable is not a toy and could present a choking hazard.

Only use the cable in cool, dry areas. Anywhere in your home, office, or car should suffice, as long as it is out of the reach of water, heat sources, or sharp objects.
