Troubleshooting Tips for your PowerStand Multi-Port Surge Tower

August 10, 2023 | By Jordan Fargo | 5 mins to read

What if the power surge tower won’t charge or power my devices?

Your power surge tower may not be plugged in correctly to an AC wall outlet. Unplug it, then plug it back in again. Check that the wall outlet isn’t damaged or obstructed by dirt, dust, or debris. If so, clean the outlet or choose a different one. Make sure it has the necessary power capacity to get the power surge tower to operate properly.

Only keep the power surge tower in an upright position, and use USB cables or AC cords that are dry, clean, and not frayed or damaged in any way. Ensure that the USB ports and AC outlets on the tower are not damaged, dirty, or visibly malfunctioning in some way. Clean the PowerStand by gently wiping it with a soft, dry cloth, or use a different USB cable or AC plug if possible.

If everything appears to be fine with your PowerStand, your chosen wall outlet, and the devices you wish to power or charge, yet the product isn’t working properly, then there may be an underlying issue with its internal circuitry. Never attempt to disassemble, modify, or repair the PowerStand by yourself. Instead, please call or email us at 1-855-GO-TZUMI or Customer Service. An experienced customer support representative will be happy to assist you.

Why aren’t my devices being charged as quickly as they should be?

Check that your power surge tower is properly and securely plugged into your chosen power source. Make sure its power cord and the power source are both clean and free of any dirt, dust, or debris. Try using a different power source and see if that helps to charge your devices faster.

You should also check that the power requirements of your device don’t exceed the maximum output capacity for the surge tower. If this is the case, then the PowerStand may not be able to charge your chosen device very effectively, if at all. Ensure that the AC plug or USB cable connecting your device to the tower is clean and not frayed or damaged in any way, as this may interfere with the charging process.

Move the PowerStand to a cool, dry space, and make sure you only use it on a hard, flat surface. Using it on an uneven surface, like a couch or bed, or in an extremely cold or hot environment may severely affect the tower’s ability to charge your devices.

Feel free to contact our Customer Service team if you have any further questions or concerns.

Where can’t I use or store the PowerStand Multi-Port Surge Tower?

Never use or store the PowerStand Multi-Port Surge Tower in extremely hot or cold environments, since they can damage the tower’s internal circuitry. Do not place the power surge tower near flames, heat sources, water, or any other liquid. These can severely damage the product and cause electric shocks. Keep this product away from children or pets; it is not a toy.

Only use the PowerStand Multi-Port Surge Tower in cool, dry environments, on a flat and hard surface. Desktops or nightstands, in addition to countertops in a kitchen or dining room, are suitable places for the PowerStand. Keep the product in an upright position wherever you choose to use or store it to ensure proper operation.
